Hey y’all.

My name is Chappell (rhymes with 🍎). I'm a digital strategist at Postlight where I oversee and support teams building complex, unique software solutions for a range of clients. Previously, I led the content strategy practice at Huge in Brooklyn. And before that, I was a digital strategist for the City of New York. 

I’ve worked with some of the biggest companies in the world to untangle complicated strategy problems. Some of the ways I enjoy supporting the design process include: writing, research, stakeholder interviews, content audits and recommendations, UX writing, and brand and voice strategy.

I’m curious about an infinite list of topics, but here’s what currently interests me most:

• IP and franchise strategy 

I received my MFA in Design Writing, Research and Criticism at the School of Visual Arts, where I now teach writing skills to prepare the next generation of interaction designers. I also helped make a book about how and why we design for people.

I live in Brooklyn, New York, where I ride my bike, think way too much about magic items, and play D&D.
